Developed by Dr. Lindsay Gary, Project 1444 is a digital collection of essays and resources that meticulously explore the history of Africa and the African Diaspora, predating the era of European colonization and enslavement. This groundbreaking initiative seeks to delve into the rich tapestry of Africa's pre-colonial past, in addition to the first points of colonization and enslavement of African people in various parts of the Americas, Europe, and on the African continent, shedding light on narratives that have long remained in the shadows. To inaugurate this compelling project, a dynamic panel discussion will set the stage for engaging dialogue and intellectual exploration.
