Okunini Talawa Adodo
Talawa Adodo is a Jamaican Pan-Afrikanist scholar. He received his Doctorate in Africology from Temple University. His primary research focuses on Afrikan history, Afrocentric theory, and Afrikan Language. His dissertation, “Translation as a Cultural Act: An Africological Analysis of Medew Netcher from a Jamaican Perspective”, provides an Afrocentric framework for the Translation of Afrikan texts and, most notably, includes the first translation of a Kemetiu text (e.k.a Ancient Egyptian text) in the Jamaican language which is also the first translation of an Afrikan text in a Caribbean-Afrikan language. |
